Research Assistant
The Narratives Project is seeking a research assistant with an interest in culture, media, and political narratives. The ideal candidate will have a background in social science and qualitative research methods, such as archival research, qualitative coding, landscape/background research, etc. They will be comfortable with fast-paced work and deadlines, open to iterating and improving methods under the guidance of the research director, and willing to develop the necessary technical skills and conceptual knowledge.
The Narratives Project is a new social venture for political mindfulness and peace. Grounded in cultural psychology and cultural evolution, we track and analyze the diverging political narratives that follow divisive news stories or events. We aim to transform our political culture by illuminating the mechanisms of narrative divergence, improving media literacy, and promoting political mindfulness.
This is a remote, full time position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
